Float Plane Ride

You're going across the water as if in a noisy boat, but you can't see directly ahead of you because you're in a float plane and with the nose tipped up all you have is engine and cowling in front of you. It's great!
Had the two oldest pups with and had explained to the pilot that the grandson had never been up in an airplane. The granddaughter had been up with me in a helicopter and I had been up in many small planes but never in a floatplane.
The pilot said, "He had never been up in a float plane either, but don't worry". This was a great way to get the 'overview' of the harbor of Duluth, Minnesota. Smooth take off and smooth landing and commentary on what you are seeing. You can't make it a more enjoyable flight.
Here you see big ships and small boats. A hillside city with mansions, parks, rivers and a big University campus. Plus you swing over the adjoining city of Superior, Wisconsin with its marina of yachts, big dry docks and shipping docks.
