Copacabana Beach at Night

The Copacabana Beach at night is an experience the PennyOnTheGo team couldn’t get enough of while visiting in Rio de Janeiro. We spent hours lounging on the Copacabana Beach boardwalk at the many beach kiosks, some open 24 hours, eating light snacks and quenching our thirst with the famous Brazilian drink called the Caipirinha, a drink made with fresh limes, cachaca (Kah-Shah-Sah), sugar and ice.

The many nights spent in Rio de Janeiro, on the Copacabana Beach boardwalk, we enjoyed ourselves taking in the sights of the groups playing instruments and signing, the enormous sand castles with the artists sitting or sleeping next to them and; of course, the nights we stayed up enjoying Rio de Janeiro until early morning to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean light up the beach, this was absolutely breath taking.
